The Ephedra plant was dried and ground into powder, then extracted with anhydrous acetone. It was left at room temperature for two hours, filtered through a coffee filter, and left to sit for another 2–3 hours. A white precipitate formed at the bottom. What do you think this could be?

There is no naphtha in my country, teacher. Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you very much for your attention and response.

And I will do the same process with ethanol, but I will not heat the ethanol and will let it sit for 3 days before filtering it. Then, I will combine these two solutions.

I am truly grateful for your interest—I'm so glad you exist!
