Tak, ma rację. HI 57% dobrze spełni swoje zadanie, ale trzeba go użyć w nadmiarze, stężenie musi pozostać > 40% przez cały czas. Możesz zmniejszyć ilość potrzebnej HI, dodając H3PO4 85%+ w trakcie reakcji, co ją odwodni i utrzyma wysokie stężenie funkcjonalnej HI. Ostrożnie! Nie chcesz wypchnąć HI na zewnątrz!
Innym sposobem jest wytworzenie HI in situ z kwasu fosforowego i NaI lub KI.
I oczywiście H3PO3 będzie działał bardzo dobrze jako zamiennik RP lub H3PO2 - wymaga go więcej i wyższych temperatur, ale działa świetnie. H3PO4/NaI lub KI wymaga jeszcze wyższych temperatur.
H3PO3 można znaleźć w sklepach z artykułami do hydroponiki lub winnic.
