Oui, il a raison. HI 57% fera très bien l'affaire, mais il faut en utiliser un bon excès, la concentration doit rester > 40% en permanence. Vous pouvez réduire la quantité de HI nécessaire en ajoutant H3PO4 85%+ au cours de la réaction, ce qui le déshydratera et maintiendra la concentration fonctionnelle de HI élevée. Attention, il ne faut pas pousser l'IH vers l'extérieur !
Une autre méthode consiste à fabriquer le HI in situ à partir d'acide phosphorique et de NaI ou KI.
Et bien sûr, le H3PO3 fonctionne très bien pour remplacer le RP ou le H3PO2 - il en faut plus et les températures sont plus élevées, mais il fonctionne très bien. H3PO4/NaI ou KI nécessite des températures encore plus élevées.
Pour H3PO3, cherchez dans les fournitures pour l'hydroponie ou les vignobles.
