Kyllä, hän on oikeassa. HI 57% tekee työnsä hienosti, sitä on kuitenkin käytettävä reilusti liikaa, pitoisuuden on pysyttävä koko ajan > 40%. Voit vähentää tarvittavan HI:n määrää lisäämällä reaktion aikana H3PO4 85 %+, mikä dehydratoi sen ja pitää funktionaalisen HI:n pitoisuuden korkeana. Varovasti, et halua työntää HI:tä ulos!
Toinen tapa on valmistaa HI paikan päällä fosforihaposta ja NaI:sta tai KI:sta.
Ja tietysti H3PO3 toimii erittäin hyvin RP:n tai H3PO2:n korvaajana - sitä tarvitaan enemmän ja korkeammissa lämpötiloissa, mutta se toimii erinomaisesti. H3PO4/NaI tai KI tarvitsee vielä korkeampia lämpötiloja.
H3PO3:a voi etsiä vesiviljely- tai viinitarhoista.
