Ja, er hat Recht. Das 57%ige HI reicht völlig aus, man muss allerdings einen guten Überschuss davon verwenden, die Konzentration muss immer über 40% liegen. Sie können die benötigte HI-Menge verringern, indem Sie im Laufe der Reaktion H3PO4 85%+ hinzufügen, wodurch es dehydriert wird und die funktionelle HI-Konzentration hoch bleibt. Vorsicht! Sie wollen das HI nicht verdrängen!
Eine andere Möglichkeit besteht darin, das HI in situ aus Phosphorsäure und NaI oder KI herzustellen.
Und natürlich funktioniert H3PO3 sehr gut als Ersatz für RP oder H3PO2 - man braucht mehr davon und höhere Temperaturen, aber es funktioniert hervorragend. H3PO4/NaI oder KI erfordert noch höhere Temperaturen.
