Да, той е прав. HI 57% ще свърши чудесно работа, трябва обаче да използвате добър излишък от него, концентрацията трябва да остане > 40% през цялото време. Можете да намалите количеството на необходимия HI, като добавите H3PO4 85%+ в хода на реакцията, което ще го дехидратира и ще запази функционалната концентрация на HI висока. Друг начин е да се произведе HI на място от фосфорна киселина и NaI или KI.
