Question Starting my chemical journy

It's my biggest hobby, I am fascinating with this field
I wanted to ask about materials I have and what I must add to beginning with. My goal is to start with synthesizing Mephadrone.

that is most of the things i currently have. i need the community advice on how to proceed from here, i want a boiling round flask bottle 2000-3000l with 3 neck, should i get the flat bottom or the round? Or both needed? i want to get 100mm Filter Bottle Matching Büchner funnel Ceramic Filter Funnel Pumping.
I want to get a heating mantle for a rounded flask. I just overwhelmed with all the things there is to get lol

Is this a list of what you already have, or a shopping list?

You can make mephedrone comfortably with just 20 % of listed items. You don't need 2-3 liter round bottom flasks to get started - start small so you learn the process and confirm all works as you plan before you scale up and risk losing valuable reagents on mistakes that you might make. The synthesis can be performed in an Erlenmeyer flask or a beaker of the right size, for instance.

You already have a hot plate listed, no need to get a heating mantle. A simple water bath will work just fine as you won't need to heat above 50-60 °C anyway. Even if you decide to recover solvents through distillation a setup with water bath and a hot plate will work fine for most solvents.

The only thing I did not find in this list is magnetic stir bars with teflon (PTFE) coating. Add those, purchase some precursor such as 2b4mp (CAS 1451-82-7), methylamine (CAS 74-89-5) and you have everything to get started. Good luck!

Keep in mind, whether or not you need methylamine HCl or freebase. Methylamine is a very suspect chemical so there is really no point in ordering it as it is so easily prepared. Methylamine freebase gas is very easy to make, like bubbling HCl gas with salt and h2so4, only you are using nitromethane and methanol. The HCl can be prepared from hexamine dry fuel tablets.

But yeah, otherwise he's right, you dont need more than a quarter of all that stuff you have/ordered to make some drone. Watch out for the tendency to over complicate things on the road to attain perfection. Just start somewhere, start small and slow and use things that you don't mind breaking or losing at first, because you'll probably make some mistakes, but it is expected. Just keep studying and practicing. Good luck!

I was going to say the same thing XD
I mean I personally burn through gov eins and registered Dea# since I gained a r00t access to their servers so I can fabricate my own credentials server side and buy all the dumb shit I want, now where it's sent is another story and not my place to say further then that. Practice and learning are things that just make a huge difference in learning through written or videos just can't do alone, they make good for reference points but don't always cover the things that a "Beginner" would be looking at, id say it would be a nice thing to see things labeled as beginner friendly and advanced, but that's just my 2cents

It's much preseason guys, but I got off all of this field, and I am deepening into organic chemistry in the cosmetic field since my sister has been a well-known cosmetic for the past 25 years, so I will have some an advantage and When you start producing and understand more it is quite interesting as well
