As part of an investigation into large-scale methamphetamine production, Australian detectives found a drug lab and seized chemicals and a number of high-value stolen goods. Three people were also arrested in police raids: a 36-year-old man from Brighton East, a 38-year-old man from Clyde and a 35-year-old woman from Brighton East.
All three are currently being questioned by police.
In Victoria, Australia, police found a large clandestine laboratory with commercial quantities of unknown liquids, presumably liquid methamphetamine and precursor chemicals, in the town of Yarra Glen. A small amount of methamphetamine was also seized directly from the two detainees.
In addition to the drugs, police found cash, fake IDs and seized allegedly stolen BMWs, drones, racing bikes and industrial equipment in the lab.
Police say drug dealers and criminals are actively taking advantage of short-term rental properties as a place to produce drugs. The legitimate owners of the property, on the other hand, are likely to suffer enormous losses, and the damage to the address may be irreparable.
