That's actually a good question.
Our forum team is the best in the world at producing new designer drugs. The drug business stopped developing a long time ago. Few people dare to try anything new. It surprises me that MDMA is still trending out of all existing drugs (It's not hard to understand by analyzing google trends for certain queries).
The so called most popular darknet marketplaces have several tens of thousands of sales per year, it is comparable to the daily street sales in the metropolis.
We want to become popular. Not just popular among a fairly narrow audience that uses torus and is involved in the synthesis of psychoactive substances. Our task is to change the paradigm of the whole drug business. To make the drug business safe for all its participants. So that buyers do not come into direct contact with sellers, so that producers do not come into direct contact with distributors.
There are three main problems in the drug business:

1. Gaining chemical reagents.
2. Methods of manufacturing substances
3. Sales

Our forum solves the first two problems. Here you can buy almost everything you need for the production of most popular substances. It remains to solve the problem of sales.
What do you think the marketplace of the future should look like? What will make street sellers move to the darknet?

You've got to make it easy. Street sellers throw in some clothes and open the door. All of the things it takes to protect yourself from exposure on the internet seems overwhelming. I'm fairly internet savvy for an old man, but tails, keys, exit nodes, a whole separate computer that never gets on the light Web... it's kept me from interacting in the way I would like to.I don't even know what questions to ask. I'd be surprised to find most dealers are tech experts.

When I first started studying everything I was pretty psyched. I was clipping along figuring stuff out, and then I read Heisenberg"s security post. (By the way Heis dude, awesome post as usual. Grade A)

I was tracking with his tutorial, really putting in the effort to learn. But then it hit me, like a mosquito bite to the forehead... I won't have time to do what I want to do, because all the cyber protection stuff is a huge time suck! I mean it's probably just standard trade-craft for peeps that move quantity of product, but I just wanna play around in my kitchen, do a little self medicating, etc.

It seems like a statistical truth that some percentage of forum members are law enforcement. Just something to think about.

So I'm wondering if it's not good enough to just connect over a VPN, and stagger forth with my trusty tor browser?

@HEISENBERG To solve the third issue I think the darkweb has to think more modern

Maybe now incorporate new fundamentals, not only like dead drops but also make it easier for vendors to scale their business when comparing it to running any other form of online business because these are the options illegal drug businesses on the darkweb are competing with nowadays.
There I think it is the job of marketplaces to incorporate those structures..
I think examples for those could be:

• Security (XMR, PGP, harder conditions for new forum members/new vendors, Web3 technologies for 2FA)
• UI/UX Design
• Useability
• Advertising options
• Ability to incoroporate marketing promotions
• Ability to measure marketing/store performance
• Incentives for new customers to join the platform
• higher requirements for vendors
  • quality control
  • better picture/video content for proofs and content
  • level system
  • escrow only for new vendors
  • Minimum daily online times to ensure a better customer service

Also, I do still think that dead drops can be a great solution to incentivize new customers using the darkweb.
But to make this accessible and modern it first needs to be incentivized for new vendors to start selling on the darkweb.
I think then, once the supply can be improved (offer, quality, price), the demand will follow.

@HEISENBERG to add something I would say that the market of the future should incorporate a clean structure of dead drops with a hyrachiaric system.
Within this system it would not only be possible to achieve flags for customers/vendors but also to level those. Those levels give you the ability to automatically move up the ladder, decentralized, according to the quality of work you put in to.
This can be based on a quantitative score system aswell as a qualitative one which might be based on customer reviews.
Decentralization would be a crucial part of this to also ensure safety.
Vendor applications should be a decentralized process that could include the community in a form of an open sampling process according to which the community will either accept or deny the vendor application.
Same goes for new product listings of each vendor. If a vendor should for example gather a multitude of negative feedbacks, sales could be halted and the vendor needs to first solve excisting complaints and proof product quality once again to the community to be accepted for sales again.
This concept based on decentralization and community could go a long way and could be incorporated into the whole structure of the marketplace

I hope this explenation was not too unstructured but I think it described it quite well how decentralization could benefit the global drug traffic
