ABOUT THE SERVICE

We offer a Drug Checking Service in order to inform the users about the composition of the drugs and therefore are in a position to advise them on the safest way to take the substance. We also offer customized, non-moralistic, and evidence-based drug information directed at drug users.

These are an anonymous and confidential service where users can submit their drug samples for testing in order to know their composition and purity, identify adulterants and provide bespoke information. The Drug Checking Service’s goal is to provide a drug testing/analysis service to users outside Spain, focused on the preservation of health at an affordable price.

If you use drugs in
sexual contexts, we also offer specific advice on psychoactive sexualities (you only have to indicate it in the alias of the sample to be sent).

All profits of this service are set aside for the maintenance of this project.

ANALYSIS TYPES

Analysis

DescriptionResultsAnalyzable substances

Identification

Qualitative analytical techniques are used to identify the composition of the active components of the substance.
  • Identifies adulterants and frauds.
  • Detects the presence of the expected psychoactive substance or drug.
Technically we can detect any active compoundin a sample, this includes:
  • Designer drugs
  • New psychoactives substances
  • Psycoactive plants
  • Psychoactive preparations or concoctions
  • Some adulterants
  • Pharma
  • Sexual hormones and anabolic steroids.

Quantification

Quantification is carried out in our laboratory in Barcelona, using various quantitative analytical systems and techniques to determine the composition of substances.
  • It measures concentration and purity, even in adulterated substances.
  • Some adulterants can also be quantified.
We can quantify the purity and concentration of 104 different substances:
  • Barbiturates and Benzodiazepines
  • “Classical psychedelics”
  • Common amphetamine and derivatives
  • Toxic and common cocaine adulterants
  • Toxic or common adulterants in amphetamine and amphetamine derivatives
  • Natural cannabinoids
  • Opiates
  • Psychedelic phenethylamines
  • Psychedelic tryptamines

Enantiomer analysis

Enantiomer Analysis of methamphetamine, speed, and MDMA. These substances have a chiral center and, therefore, exist as two enantiomers, which have the same chemical formula but differ in their three-dimensional arrangement, resulting in one being the mirror image of the other. The R and S enantiomers of these substances exhibit distinct biological activity, affecting potency, duration, and the type of effects.
  • Identification of the R and S enantiomers of methamphetamine, speed/amphetamine, and MDMA.
  • Measures the percentage of R and S enantiomers
Methamphetamine
  • S-(+)-methamphetamine or dextromethamphetamine or s-methamphetamine
    Psychoactive effects
  • R-(-)-methamphetamine or levomethamphetamine or l-methamphetamine
No psychoactive effects. Worst side effects
Speed/Amphetamine
  • S-(+)-amphetamine or dextroamphetamine or s-amphetamine
Euphoric effects, more intense stimulation, and higher likelihood of associated risks
  • R-(-)-amphetamine or levoamphetamine or l-amphetamine
    Milder stimulant effects.
MDMA
  • S-(+)-MDMA, Dextro-MDMA, or D-MDMA
Longer duration of effects, responsible for the majority of desired and stimulating effects.
  • R-(-)-MDMA, Levo-MDMA, or L-MDMA
    Less intensity of effects.
