Best routes to Mdp2p

Hi,
I’m curious what everyone thinks are the current best routes to MDP2P?

Grignard with bromo-benzodioxole, catechol to aldehyde and methylation to piperonal, piperine to piperonal is otc, mdbenzyl alcohol to piperonal is otc too, just there are two options mostly straight to the ketone or by going piperonal way.
