4-MMC and what you actually get.

I was having a convo with @Gordon Ramsay and @Heineken about 4-MMC and the topic of testing and quality came up so I wanted to start this thread to capture some of what I have found.

Looking at the massive variation in quality, look and feel, texture and dryness found across many vendors selling this substance, it is no wonder that people are having difficulty understanding what they are getting into.

There is also very little actual medical research into this (and 3-MMC) so dosage, L50 and many other important factors are largely unknown.

I have just grabbed the 2023 entries that contain 4-MMC.

As can be seen above, even sending things in for testing for such a small sample, yierlds MASSIVE variations with not enough of the samples actually bewing what they claim to be.

Home reagent testing needs to come up with a sure fire way to isolate this compound as both it and the many variations, pose potential risk, particularly when mixed with MDMA, amphetamine and methamphetamine.

That's exactly the situation!

When posting those pictures now I do not intend to call any names or talk bad about other vendors. But sharing those pictures from the top vendors of Archetyp I can tell that litterally noone of those vendors is either cleaning their product in a propper way or advertising this product in a correct way.

What is sold nowadays, when it is 'pure' Mephedrone is basically uncleaned Mephedrone powder or crystals containing impurities or solvent.

It is sad to see as Mephedrone can be a beautiful product when done right. As comparison a picture of clean Mephedrone powder vs. clean crystals will be helpful to better understand the horrible market situation

Again, like it happened with Amphetamine Paste, we do have a market situation in which vendors do not care about the product quality and consumers accept it because they do not know better.

Pictures like I have posted above do not only mean bad product quality, they mean harm to health and worse things..stuff like this should be forbidden in the darkweb.

Those crystals are gorgeous!
Like 3-MMC crystals - they are just pretty, always a shame to crush them haha.

But yes, this speaks volumes about the overall quality we find out in the wild.

I think with 4MMC it is easy to fall into the trap of working with easy available routes that kind of produce the target product in an acceptable way. With a little bit of cleaning during the synthesis, especially of pouders the outcome would be improved by a lot. Guessing from the pictures I think that none of those vendors takes the time to either clean the product or carry out a long and clean crystalization process. They just want to sell fast

Sell fast... This bothers me.
Someone in another group received WET LSD BLOTTERS the other day from a reputable vendor.
It was probably ethyl alcohol, but still, how can you ship a blotter that is still full of alcohol to a customer, the LSD won't be fully settled, the client has no idea whjat they have received, everyone loses.

Most of the chemists I know don't want to sell substandard, so it becomes vendors/middlemen who are stretching product... sigh.

Yeah you are right, that is horrible to hear about the LSD.

It is so important when working with chemical drugs to sell pure substances in a good quality only.
The consequences can be horrendous when this is not done

Many vendors nowadays are also manufacturers themselves as knowledge for the manufacturing of drugs is not something that is available or understandable for chemists only.

Yes! These pictures are exactly what I was looking for. I've been wanting to try some Mephedrone for while now. At first I was going to make it, but I concluded I didn't want to mess with bromine in my home kitchen. So, decided to buy. First purchase was 2g from one of the vendors here. Whatever I got didn't do anything. I went through the entire 2g and didn't even get a headache.

Earlier I was looking on Archetyp, so I've seen those pics before. Went through a bunch of listings, I swear one of them just looked like p2p.

At least now I know I should be looking for snowflake like crystals, so thanks.

Also, it seems like all the vendors are in EU. This seems like the kind of product someone could get rich quick with in the US. Especially if they made a quality product so people would know what it should be. Just doing that would cut out what little competition there is.

I think that anyone that can produce this product in a good quality is set for a successful business as the market is still fairly small but growing fast!
It is easy at the moment to stand out from the crowd with a high quality product

the synthesis of 4mmc is very simple but incomprehensible to most manufacturers. from what you can see, the big problem is cleanliness, where laboratories do not care about it, but about the quantity and the fastest and cheapest way to do it. another problem is crystallization is also very simple but for most labs in nl or pl or de it is a big problem. Quality=price.

I see that most 4MMC is being sold for 5k per kilo reagardeless of the quality actually so I doubt that the market currently tries to differentiate.

When we see what the results from the video guides look like and what anyone else is offering, I have never seen crystals that would come close to those pictures/videos from the BB administration and it is sad that all product that is being sold is from a minor quality like shown above.

With all of the different recipes out there, and people producing stuff clandestinely and without education or laboratory equipment, some of these guys don't even know they are making 3-mmc when they are trying to make 4-mmc. The amount of information it takes to make a stable carbonation, direct the right position and have a pure substitution..... It's a lot. It's tough to para direct a ketone, ketones are meta directors. As far as I can tell there is no way to get above 92% purity of any substituted aromatic ketone. That's taking a bag of ice from an iceburg. I think cathiones are just that way aldehydes are problematic for the same reason. Chemistry is disheartening
