I like mullvad as a VPN currently (I am getting a little sick of it dropping so I may switch).

Good messaging services are Session, signal and I personally use XMPP.. (I might be weary of Telegram after the CEO was arrested)

This is a huge and very complicated topic. I could write a book on, but do not have time. In short - if you zo not know what an IMSI and IMEI is, and how to hide them, and if you do not know hat silent pings are, better avoid phones all together. Use secured linux PC for communication.
If you want secure phones, be ready to spend time to learn, time to find the right vendors of phones and lots of money. Never use commercial of the sheath phones.

use phone
use any operator sim card registered for random data. if u need really need maybe i can provide u something it all depends what u doing. use one dark sim only for text msgs and second for fake data, do not connect ur dark phone with u personally in any sources(mail,social,friends,family). use vpn over tor connection. dont call, dont answer, never. keep number in secret, turn on offline mode when u not using phone. try to set up ur all dark activity to make it from updated Tails OS with phone data. never use KYC for dark money before laundering. best COLD anonimity wallet u can find in electrum. ask, ask and ask again if u r not sure what to do.

IF you have to use a phone at all replacing the os with graphene os (only works on pixel I think) is a good place to start. I am told the Purism Librem 5 would be interesting to look into. Doing business on a market though, tails os or whonix only. Using a phone is just not a good idea in general but if you must communicate use something like session, prefereably not on you personal phone. And if you go anywhere to do any kind of deal outside your area, leave the thing at home. Everyone has their own ways of doing things but if your like me and paranoid just because, I leave my location, camera, mic, etc off at all times and only turn data and permission on for an app or whatever when I am using it at the moment.

Didn't try exactly that one above but heard a lot good opinions, and reviews seems confirming is decent device
Personaly preference more rugged style phones like CAT, Cubot or Dodgee for me need to be have duty and idiot proof at first
